The upper limb surgeon, Mr Adel Tavakkolizadeh, gave a brief update to a group of physios from Pure Sports Medicine at their clinic in Finsbury Square. Rather than delivering a formal presentation, Mr Tavakkolizadeh asked attendees what topics they would prefer to have discussed.
ACJ was one of the areas that the physios came across frequently and Adel gave his recommendations on how best to deal with issues such as degeneration. Rotator cuffs was another where he looked at a specific case, the identification of the condition and various forms of treatment that are available. He also talked about tests available for this complaint including the empty can test, drop arm test and the Gerber test. He concluded the presentation with another request, this time, on the frozen shoulder.
CPD certificates were issued to all that attended.
