The foot & ankle surgeon, Mr Martin Klinke, gave an update to a group of physio’s at Pure Sports at their Canary Wharf clinic.
Pure Sports are located in various locations across London including, St Paul’s, Finsbury Square, Chancery Lane, Bank, Kensington and Wimbledon. Mr Klinke’s update included a practical and physical examination of the ankle/hindfoot. He discussed a wide range of issues including bony ankle joint impingement, synovial impingement signs, test ligaments and stability ankles.
A physical examination was also given of the subtalar joint and tarsal coalition as well as the treatment of the subtalar joint. The physical examination of the mid foot / Lisfranc and first MTPJ, as well as Frieberg disease, forefoot pains, ensuring the history of the patient is considered at all times. Mr Klinke also gave his views on best treatment for Achilles tendon ruptures and the operative treatment of Hilux Rigidus.
