Mr Lam attending this year’s SOLAS meeting in Cairo

Mr Khai Lam will be attending this year’s Society of Lateral Access Surgery (SOLAS) in Cairo at the annual meeting of the Egyptian Spine Association.  The meeting will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cairo, Heliopolis, for a special SOLAS Session (November 21 at 8:30AM) during the Egyptian Spine Association Meeting (November 20-21).  He will present along with Drs. Ali Madawi, Patrick McKenna and Andrea Piazzolla, as well as local surgeons.  Topics for discussion include:

  • Update on the clinical evidence and economic benefits of LLIF surgery
  • Surgical access during LLIF – anatomical review
  • Complications and how to avoid in LLIF surgery
  • Using LLIF to restore spinal sagittal balance
  • MIS treatment for lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis
  • Case Presentation: L4/5 degenerative spondylolisthesis with radiculopathy
  • MIS direct decompression is best – evidence-based
  • MIS TLIF is best for direct decompression – evidence-based
  • MIS LLIF is best for indirect decompression – evidence-based
