Mr Joydeep Sinha is a specialist shoulder and upper limb surgeon at London Bridge Orthopaedics. He is one of our most experienced consultants at LBO, having been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at King’s College Hospital, London, since 1996,
His qualifications are B.Sc(Hons) Pharmacology; M.B.Ch.B; FRCS(Ed); FRCS(Eng), FRCS(Orth). He qualified from the University of Manchester in 1985, and later went on to do his surgical training at the Hammersmith Hospital and St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, gaining experience in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery.
Mr. Sinha completed his Orthopaedic training in London, working on the King’s College Hospital and South East Thames orthopaedic rotations. His fellowships include working in New York and Seattle, USA and the Wrightington Hospital, UK. During this time he gained specialist training in upper limb trauma, shoulder, elbow and hand surgery.
Mr. Sinha has worked with his colleagues at KCH, to develop the Upper Limb Unit, which has achieved national and international recognition. Mr. Sinha has also been Clinical Director for Orthopaedics, and has been Clinical Lead in Orthopaedics and Day Surgery at KCH. He is currently Clinical Director of Surgery at KCH and Joint CAG Leader for Trauma and Orthopaedics, Kings Health Partners.
He has lectured locally, nationally and internationally on both upper limb trauma and shoulder surgery, he has a special interest in arthroscopic “keyhole” shoulder and elbow surgery, shoulder replacement, sports injuries and upper limb trauma. He also works in Undergraduate Training (medical students) and Postgraduate Teaching at King’s College, University of London.
Joydeep is a very experienced and empathetic consultant. He has an excellent reputation among his peers, and has a wonderful bedside manner; he is calm and extremely knowledgeable, and is highly respected by his patients.
