The foot and ankle consultant Mr Sam Singh from London Bridge Orthopaedics gave a talk to a group of City-based physiotherapists from Nuffield Health entitled ‘My Favourite Ankle Clinical Signs’. He talked about, ankle impingement which is typically over six weeks, how we diagnose it and what the treatment is and footballers’ ankle.
Other topics discussed were ‘what is ankle instability’ (when the ankle feels unsteady and physiotherapy is the first line of treatment), locked ankle (a rare condition) and posterior impingement, the symptoms are a deep band-like pain, downstairs and tiptoe.
CPD points were issued to all attendees.
