Mr Adel Tavakkolizadeh, our consultant upper limb surgeon, gave a brief shoulder update to a group from Central Health Physio at a variety of their sites. A wide range of issues were discussed including primary and secondary impingement, factors leading to impingement, S.I.C.K scapula and different types of shoulder pains – glenohumeral disorders, instability and referred pain.
Mr Tavakkolizadeh also looked at diagnostic clues, rotator cuff disorders, tears and ruptures of the long head biceps and distal biceps.
